Understanding how a therapy works is just as important as demonstrating that it works.
COMED Therapeutics has received the results of an independent proteomic analysis performed by Proteome Factory AG on our pancreatic cancer research program. The findings suggest that our therapeutic approach reprograms the molecular state of the remaining cancer cells rather than simply slowing their growth.
Instead of targeting one isolated mechanism, the proteomic data point to widespread disruption of the biological networks that enable pancreatic cancer to survive and proliferate. The analysis indicates a coordinated breakdown of pathways responsible for cellular growth, nutrient utilization, energy production, oxidative stress protection, and metabolic adaptation—systems that aggressive tumors rely on to maintain their malignant behavior.
While these findings require further validation through ongoing functional studies, they provide molecular evidence supporting the mechanism behind our intracellular delivery platform, COMED Hooks, and establish a scientific foundation for its continued development.
Each new layer of evidence brings us closer to therapies designed not only to inhibit cancer, but also to alter the biological state that enables it to persist.
