Full in vivo data confirm COMED Hooks suppresses tumor growth in a pancreatic cancer model, with 100% survival and strong tolerability.

Half a year ago we gave you a first look at our pancreatic cancer program—early animal-study signals suggesting COMED Hooks was having an effect on tumor growth. That data is now complete.

Charles River Laboratories has finished the in vivo proof-of-concept study and delivered the full report. Tested as a monotherapy in CAPAN-2, a widely used human pancreatic cancer model, COMED Hooks produced a statistically supported suppression of tumor growth, holding up consistently across several different measures of tumor size and growth rate. Every animal in the study survived, and body weight stayed largely stable—an early but encouraging read on tolerability.

There's a personal story underneath this data. Cenk Öztürk, MD, founded COMED in 2019 after his mother was diagnosed with late-stage cancer—that experience is what set this entire program in motion. None of this amounts to a treatment yet. But it's real, verified progress, earned the hard way.
